Percées thérapeutiques en oncologie : pour de meilleurs traitements et une prise en charge améliorée
Abstract
En oncologie, les récents progrès ont considérablement transformé le traitement du cancer et la prise en charge des soins, insufflant un nouvel espoir aux patients du monde entier. La présente recension des écrits examine les grandes percées thérapeutiques que sont les thérapies ciblées, l’immunothérapie, la médecine personnalisée et les systèmes innovateurs de libération de médicaments. Ces interventions de pointe ont amélioré le devenir des patients, les taux de survie et la qualité de vie, mais elles ont aussi complexifié la prise en charge des effets secondaires, la coordination des soins et l’allocation des ressources. La présente recension des écrits aborde les répercussions de ces nouveaux traitements sur les soins aux patients, les considérations éthiques sous-jacentes, la prise en charge des effets secondaires et le rôle central des infirmières en oncologie dans l’administration et la prise en charge des traitements. Le présent article, qui explore le portrait actuel des traitements oncologiques et les voies d’avenir, comme les vaccins contre le cancer et la médecine de précision, permet une compréhension exhaustive de l’influence qu’auront ces innovations sur l’orientation future des soins oncologiques.
