Traduire la recherche en pratique : premier énoncé de position du Canada sur les soins infirmiers en oncologie basés sur la génomique
Abstract
L’intégration de la génomique aux soins oncologiques s’accélère au Canada et améliore le dépistage, le diagnostic et les thérapies ciblées, offrant de nouvelles possibilités aux infirmières de contribuer à rétablir l’état de santé des patients. Cependant, les infirmières ont dit avoir besoin d’une orientation stratégique pour clarifier leurs rôles et leurs responsabilités en tant que membres des équipes interprofessionnelles fournissant des services en génomique. En réponse, l’Initiative canadienne sur les soins infirmiers et la génomique de Canadian Nursing & Genomics, en collaboration avec l’Association canadienne des infirmières en oncologie (ACIO/CANO) et un groupe de travail interdisciplinaire, a rédigé le premier énoncé de position pancanadien encadrant la pratique infirmière en oncologie basée sur la génomique. Pour encourager la participation au processus et la mise en œuvre de l’énoncé de position, le présent article en justifie l’élaboration ainsi que le rôle des énoncés de position dans le soutien de la pratique infirmière et de l’innovation dans les soins infirmiers oncologiques basés sur la génomique. Il décrit également la structure de gouvernance et la méthodologie de co-conception qui ont facilité son élaboration collaborative et interdisciplinaire, et ce qui rend cette approche essentielle pour la défense des intérêts des infirmières, le transfert intégré des connaissances et l’engagement continu. Enfin, il formule des recommandations aux infirmières en oncologie pour traduire l’énoncé de position en changements pratiques. Il s’agit d’une étape préliminaire pour faire avancer l’intégration de la génomique dans les soins oncologiques et garantir que la pratique infirmière demeure à l’avant-garde de l’innovation.
